Questions, bugs, refund problems, or a rock we got embarrassingly wrong:
It helps enormously if you mention your device, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
Common questions
How many scans do we get for free?
Ten when you first set the app up, then one more every day. The daily one doesn't stack up — it's one a day, every day, not thirty at the end of the month.
I bought scans and they haven't appeared
Open the Grown-Ups tab, tap Get more scans, then tap Restore purchases. That asks Apple what this Apple Account has bought and re-applies it. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.
How do I cancel RockyDoo Plus?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → RockyDoo → Cancel Subscription. You keep your remaining time after cancelling.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles all App Store refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that made the purchase. We can't issue refunds ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we'll try to fix the underlying problem.
My child's rocks disappeared
The collection lives on the device, so it goes wherever the device's backup goes. Restoring an iPhone from an iCloud or Finder backup brings the rocks back; setting a phone up as new does not. If a collection has vanished from a phone you still have, don't delete the app — email us first.
Can two children share one iPad?
Yes. Each child gets their own explorer with their own name, age range, colour theme and collection.
It said "that's not a rock"
It does that on purpose when the photo isn't a rock, mineral, gem or fossil. If it's genuinely a rock and we got it wrong, a second photo in better light usually fixes it — flat, even daylight and a close, sharp shot beat a shadowy one every time.
How do I delete everything?
Grown-Ups → Delete all explorers and rocks wipes every profile, photo and identification from the device immediately. It cannot be undone. There is nothing held on a server to delete — see the Privacy Policy.
What age is it for?
Four and up. You pick a reading level of 4–5, 6–8 or 9–12 when you set up an explorer, and you can change it later in Grown-Ups.
Reporting something serious
If you believe RockyDoo has collected information about your child that it shouldn't have, or you want to review or delete anything associated with them, email hello@rockydoo.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We'll respond within 30 days. Details of what is and isn't collected are in the Privacy Policy.
